Buccaneers player Darragh Murray has received international recognition following his selection for the Ireland U18 rugby squad travelling to play Italy next week.

BUCCANEERS made it a clean sweep of Connacht Senior League victories when they defeated Corinthians at Corinthian Park, Galway, on Saturday. But, as last week, it took a last move try to secure a hard fought win when the indomitable John Sutton broke Corinthians hearts when he popped over for the vital score.

Buccaneers had to fight every inch of the way as they won the Connacht U17 Cup following a gripping decider against a dogged Ballina side at the Sportsground on Sunday (May 7).

Although not playing to their true potential for long periods, Buccaneers showed their character by eking out an 18-13 Ulster Bank League triumph over Ballymena at Eaton Park on Saturday.

Buccaneers head to Dublin on Saturday where they face Old Wesley in the Ulster Bank League Division 1B at Donnybrook, kick off 2.30pm.
