The Galway Science & Technology Festival is celebrating 27 years of sparking curiosity and inspiring both young people and the general public to explore the world around us. Since its inception in 1998, the festival has grown to become Ireland’s largest event promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM).

Galway City Museum is delighted to receive a collection of objects from local man Tommy Holohan. These objects belonged to Tommy’s grandmother Nan (Anne) O’Toole, a fishwife, and his grandfather, Michael O’Toole, a Claddagh fisherman, who lived with their family in a cottage at Rope Walk, Claddagh, Galway.
