Trials for the Mayo u16 (Ted Webb ) divisional teams will take place on Sunday next February 7, Sunday February 14 and Sunday February 21. Players born in 2000 and considered by their clubs to be of potential county standard only should attend.
The trials will be held in the following divisional locations: West Mayo: Breaffy; East Mayo: Kiltimagh; North Mayo: Lacken; South Mayo: Ballinrobe (Secondary school pitch ). Trials will commence at 11am players should be in attendance at 10.30am. Please note that players from Parke should attend trials in East Mayo and players from Balla, Ballintubber and Tourmakeady should attend trials in South Mayo.

Coaching vacancies in Mayo
Mayo GAA, in conjunction with Mayo County Council wish to recruit two GAA Games Promotion Officers. The Games Promotion Officers will be responsible for engaging with GAA clubs, community organisations, schools, marginalised target groups and other stakeholders in order to promote better health and well-being via GAA- led initiatives. He/she will provide a lead role in all coaching and games activity within a designated area in Mayo. The successful candidates will support and resource Clubs and Communities to achieve greater participation and involvement in Gaelic Games.
Th key requirements for the post holder includes: Ideally hold a third level qualification in a related area. A minimum of three years experience in the area of GAA Coaching. Have achieved Level 1 GAA Coaching Certification. Have an in depth knowledge of GAA activities. Excellent organisational skills, project management, time management and presentation skills. High level of IT literacy and proficiency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis. Budgetary management skills. A full, clean driving licence and access to own transport. The post will involve weekend and evening work., It will be offered on an initial contract for one year which may be extended.
