Discover the joy of art with Aileen Moran (Dunleavy)

Is something missing in your life? Is there an artist within you longing to be unleashed? Do you want to reconnect with your spirit through your expression of art?

If you have ever longed to paint or draw, seize this moment and take Aileen Moran's art class commencing September 21 for 10 weeks.

"For me, painting is a visual dance between lights and darks," Ms Moran said. "It cannot be properly expressed overnight. It’s a  commitment, but with my guidance, the payoff is priceless on many levels. I have successfully taught award winning students who have been on the RTE Late Late Show and have had their works displayed in Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin. Some continued on to art school. Others simply found a new lease of life coupled with a deep sense of peace from finally being able to express themselves on canvas. I encourage artists of all levels to paint or draw every day, and love to witness their transformation as art inevitably becomes an integral part of their lives.

"I was born by the sound of the Bow Bells, in the East End of London, and grew up beside the famous Salthill Prom," she continued. "Every single day I feel overwhelmed with gratitiude for the mesmerising beauty of the wild Atlantic coast. I am emotionally connected to the beauty of nature’s rhythm and have a deep desire to express and share this beauty in my art. When I see nature's glory, somehow a seed is planted in me that has to take root on my canvas and grow. We are surrounded by beauty."

Aileen Moran (Dunleavy ) provides a 10 week oil painting course at her studio in Salthill. Morning classes run from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and evening classes from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. "I will help you unleash your own inner artist and I will assist with the drawing and painting process," she added. "That is my passion in life. It is never too late to start fulfilling your dreams. I know that  once you rediscover your creative self you will enjoy the peace and tranquillity only art can deliver.

"My work is exhibited twice a year in the Art Ireland exhibition, RDS Dublin, and also featured in Irish Art magazine and Galway Now magazine. Many galleries around Ireland including our local Kenny’s Gallery display my passion. My favourite escape is to the Burren College of Art, Co Clare, during the summer to paint with other artists."
