As part of their 20th anniversary celebratory events Predator Triathlon Club will host an informative talk on 'Mindset and Resilience in Sport and Life' with expert speaker John Connolly, The Mind Coach who specialises in enhancing mental performance. This event is open to members of the public and takes place next week in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel on Tuesday February 25 from 7.30 to 8.30pm. Register online in advance on eventbrite.
"We look forward to welcoming athletes and sports people from around the county," said Tomás Mangan, Chairperson, Predator Triathlon Club. "We can see that this is a topic that our members both youths and adults, would benefit from. We’re delighted to mark 20 years of the club this year."
'The subconscious mind is the control room of the athlete. The body is simply the means it uses to run faster, jump higher, and push further. Let's train your mind to break away from beliefs that hold you back so you can perform to be the best version of yourself,' added John.
We all understand the importance of sport and fitness for stamina and clear thinking in everyday life. We all need confidence to set goals, to develop skills on how to keep focus and to work on strategies on how to perform under pressure, deal with the wins as well as how to recover after setbacks ensuring consistency and resilience. John will finish the talk with a question and answer session.
