Community hubs around the county are continuing to provide showers, WiFi, charging and other facilities for people left without basic services in the wake of Storm Éowyn.

Thousands of households across Galway are without power, water, and phone and internet coverage following last week's record-breaking storm.

As a result, emergency response hubs have been set up to provide people with basic needs such as water, hot food, phone charging, broadband access, shower and clothes washing facilities.

The hubs have been set up in partnership with local community groups and businesses.

Galway County Council has published a list of hubs which are available in each of the county's five municipal districts.

The local authority has said that significant collaboration continues between all the response agencies to prioritise restorative planning.

Emergency Response Hubs to assist people with basic needs such as water, hot food, phone charging, broadband access, shower and clothes washing facilities are being set up in partnership with local community groups and businesses, and currently facilities are available at the following locations.
