Headford to get its bus shelter this week

Headford is in the process of getting a new bus shelter which should be installed and operational in the next few weeks.

Cllr Andrew Reddington has confirmed that a contractor will be working on the foundation of the bus shelter in Headford this week and there may be minimal traffic delays on the Galway Road near the town as a result.

He told the Advertiser that the actual bus shelter is scheduled for installation later next week.

"I want to acknowledge Barry Monaghan a local businessman and Donna Gibbons from the active travel team for their support," he said.

"The community has been waiting a long time for this bus shelter, and there have been complications regarding its location, but thankfully we are the end of the process," he concluded.
