Nostra, one of Ireland’s leading IT services providers has announced the creation of 100 new jobs, with 35 of those based in Galway, adding to its team of over 250 employees across Ireland, UK, Bulgaria and South Africa.

Located in Ballybrit, the new office will be used to build out a Cyber Security Centre of Excellence as well as grow IT Support, Professional Services and Project Management teams to serve customers in the region.

One of the country’s largest and fastest-growing IT services providers, Nostra recently secured valuable investment from Phoenix Equity Partners to help achieve its ambitious growth goals, which would see annual revenues grow from €50 million to €250 million within five years through both strategic acquisitions and organic growth. Nostra has completed three acquisitions this year alone with a number of other deals in progress, helping to strengthen its overall offering and widen its customer base.

The brand new office represents a positive investment in Galway’s thriving tech sector and underlines Nostra’s commitment to maintaining and growing its operations in the West of Ireland, working with the region’s skilled talent as it enters a new stage of growth and expansion.

Speaking at the opening on Monday, Simon Coveney TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, said Irish businesses like Nostra are the backbone of our economy, creating jobs right across Ireland.

“This announcement is a testament to the talent and hard work of the team. I am delighted that Nostra, an Enterprise Ireland supported company which started its life with just four people back in 2006 has now grown to be an international player on the world stage working with global companies. I would like to congratulate Kevin O’Loughlin and his team for their dedication and vision and wish them the very best in their endeavours.”

As part of the current expansion, Enterprise Ireland is supporting the recruitment of positions in the Galway base.

Leo Clancy, CEO, Enterprise Ireland said Enterprise Ireland’s mission is to partner with innovative Irish businesses looking to scale internationally.

“Nostra is a great example of an Irish internationally traded services company with global ambition, competing and winning sustained business in overseas markets. Enterprise Ireland looks forward to continuing to support Nostra’s growth ambitions as they expand their global footprint, strengthening their customer base internationally and continuing to create jobs here in Galway and across the country.”

Kevin O’Loughlin, Nostra co-founder & CEO, said: “It has been a really exciting year for Nostra, having secured investment and completed a number of key acquisitions. As we prepare to embark on the next step of our journey, we are delighted to unveil our brand new office in Galway.

“We have big ambitions for the years ahead and our talented team in Galway will be central to achieving those goals. We would like to thank Minister Simon Coveney for joining us at the official opening as well as Enterprise Ireland for their continued support.”
