O’Malley Construction Company Ltd, in conjunction with O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers, successfully launched the showhouse at phase 2 of Maolchnoc on the Ballymoneen Road over the first weekend of April.

There was a successful turnout on both Saturday and Sunday, with more than 50 viewers each day expressing interest in the variety of properties available in the development.

A significant demand was for the recently launched three bed semidetached houses, three bed duplexes and two bed ground floor units.

As a result, all available three bed semidetached properties have now been booked, with only one of each of the duplexes and ground floor units remaining available after the weekend.

Hugh O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers said that the response for the two and three bed properties has been incredibly positive since launching, with interest particularly from first-time buyers.

Furthermore, successful bookings for the larger four bed semidetached properties occurred, with only a limited number remaining available in phase one of the development.

The on-site visits and open days have allowed interested buyers to appreciate the quality on offer and what O’Malley Construction Company Ltd has been renowned for creating for more than 50 years.

Maolchnoc is a thoughtfully created new development of architecturally designed homes by McCrossan O’Rourke Manning architects, on the west side of Galway city.

Situated on an elevated site, residents of Maolchnoc will benefit from spectacular views over the stunning Galway coastline and landscape.

The local area on Ballymoneen Road benefits from some of Galway's most well-known amenities – Barna Woods, Silverstrand beach, Salthill Promenade, golf clubs, and many other indoor and outdoor amenities, providing residents with an instant sense of community.

Families can choose from several well established primary schools and secondary schools including Coláiste na Coiribe and Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh.

Other options are also available for younger children in the neighbourhood including an on-site crèche to be built as part of the Maolchnoc development.

Local shopping options include the Gateway Shopping Centre, Dunnes Stores, B&Q, Harvey Norman, Lidl and Aldi. Cappagh Park is a wonderful outdoor amenity for various activities. All are within 2km of the development.

Maolchnoc is registered with the Help to Buy (HTB ) scheme and first time buyers can currently avail of up to €30,000 in tax refunds, if they qualify. Each home is covered by a HomeBond 10-year structural guarantee scheme.

Prices will commence from €330,000 and there will be two and three bedroom duplex homes available together with three and four bedroom semidetached and terraced houses.
