McCullagh and Nolan on target for United U19s

It has been a hugely encouraging start to the U19 national league season for Galway United, who defeated Cork City 2-0 at Bishopstown on Sunday.

Brendan O'Connor's team has collected 10 points from four matches with late goals from Republic of Ireland schools international Mikey McCullagh and Ryan Nolan sealing a fine win Leeside. A promising United outfit face Cobh Ramblers this weekend.

Anthony O'Neill's United U15 team were beaten 3-0 by Klub Kildare and now have a crucial fixture against Athlone Town on Sunday in Lissywollen.

Following a couple of weeks without a competitive encounter Martin Devlin's U17s are away to Derry City on Saturday.

Galway WFC U19s drew 2-2 away to Peamount United with the in form Rola Olusola scoring twice.

Olusola has netted seven goals in three games for Galway WFC, who are at home to Treaty United next.

In the U17 league Galway WFC drew 1-1 against Bray Wanderers, and host Carlow Kilkenny at Dangan this Saturday.
