Tom O'Mahony to headline the Comedy KARLnival

Tom O'Mahony and Shawn King live on stage, with Jo Caulfield via Zoom

TOM O'MAHONY, described by the late, very grate Rik Mayall as "psychotically funny", and Jo Caulfield, “one of the finest female comics at work” according to The Observer, play the next Comedy KARLnival at the Róisín Dubh.

O'Mahony will be live on stage at the Dominick Street venue, while Caulfield will be live via Zoom, on Tuesday October 6. The MC will be the great Karl Spain.

Tom O'Mahony is best known for his roles on Damo & Ivor as the toff Tarquin and as Paddy d'Pervert on Bridget & Eamon. He has toured with Tom Green and Mock The Week regular Tom Stade, and supported Nina Conti, Michael Winslow, Neil Delamare, and Tommy Tiernan.

Jo Caulfield, “quite simply, a damn funny woman”, according to The Scotsman, has appeared on Have I Got News For You and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. She is a regular performer at the Edinburgh Festival and also served as a writer/programme consultant on Graham Norton’s BAFTA Award winning So Graham Norton and as head writer on both Ruby Wax’s Waiting Game and Zoe Ball’s Strictly Dance Fever.

Support is from Shawn King, a 19-year-old Nigerian born Irish citizen who first performed stand up comedy at 17. He recently won Dublin’s Comedy Shed tournament and Bray Festival's Best New Act competition.
