Imminent return to training for Southern Gaels juvenile players as competitive season awaits

All Southern Gaels juvenile players from Under 12 to Under 18 grades in both both camogie and hurling will return to training at the Athlone Regional Sports Centre astro-turf pitches on February 27 from 6pm to 8pm.

Players will be advised regarding the relevant age grade times by mentors. League matches will then commence from Monday, March 25. All newcomers are welcome.

Adult hurling training commences on Friday, February 9 with challenge games to be played on Saturdays, February 17 and March 7 in preparation for the league which starts the weekend of March 16.

Membership

Annual membership is now due. You can join through your Foireann account or by contacting any mentor or committee member.

Rates for 2024 as are follows - family membership and club draw €150; any membership and club draw €150; adult hurlers/camogie players €75; adult non-players €50; juveniles €50; students over 18 €50. Please pay before you return to training.

County Panels

Well done to Cian McCarthy (Westmeath ) and Chulainn Dowd (Roscommon ) who represented their respective counties in last weekend’s hurling league fixtures.

Promotional Stand

Thanks to all who helped with or visited our Promotional Stand in the Athlone Town Centre last Saturday. It was a very enjoyable day.
